Law enforcement is confident it will soon recover the remaining Goodhope police guns and ammunition stolen last month following a robbery incident foiled on Friday morning near Riverwalk mall in Gaborone.

Friday's police action lifted notorious armed robbers, Mogomotsi Thupane and Ronnie Sanana, along with three South Africans who had an AK47 and three pistols after attempting to rob a police escort Security Systems cash-in-transit vehicle.

Following the arrest, police disclosed having made a breakthrough in a media release stating that some firearms are suspected to be part of the police weapons stolen during a robbery that occurred at Goodhope Police Station on June 28.
