In a move aimed at promoting the Chibuku traditional beer brand as well as impowering locals, Botswana Breweries, Francistown region on Friday gave away two bakkies to two lucky customers.

One of the winners, Wilson Gulubane of Changate village in the Nkange constituency said BBL has been empowering them as retailers in a number of ways. Gulubane said BBL equips them with marketing and sales skills saying giving away two bakkies is just out of this world.                

For the past seven years or so, the once popular Chibuku has been losing its dominance in the alcoholic beverages’ market thanks to the traditional beer regulations implemented by the Trade and Industry Ministry in 2008.
