Central police investigate 'murder'

Central Police station commander, superintendent Mothusi Phadi told The Monitor that they are investigating the case, stating that they are piecing information together. Phadi said according to the deceased’s father, a group of men came into his house on Valentines’ Day, took the deceased, who later came home with injuries alleging to have been assaulted. “The father said he thought they were his friends but was surprised when the young man in his 30s returned home with wounds alleging to have been assaulted on theft suspicions.
The deceased was treated at a local clinic and released the same day. The deceased’s family are adamant that the deceased succumbed to his injuries but our investigations are ongoing to establish what caused his death,” he said.
