CDC sub-divided to improve service

In an effort to improve efficient service delivery, the Central District Council (CDC), which has 174 councillors has been sub-divided into seven sub-councils.

In an interview with Mmegi, CDC deputy council secretary for finance and administration Thupayamodimo Okaile said sub-councils are mandated to deal with issues within the jurisdiction of sub-districts. They deal with issues like motions and questions, she said.

However, issues of policy on inter ministerial district and inter sub-districts will be dealt with by the full Council.
