Cash-in-transit robbers flee with empty cash boxes in Thamaga

During the incident, three unidentified men attacked a Security Services CIT vehicle and threatened security guards with what appeared to be a firearm before fleeing with three empty cash boxes. The incident occurred at around 9am on Saturday at Builders Mart at Marang Ward, Thamaga.
Thamaga Acting Police Station Commander, Assistant Superintendent Maimane Phele, said the security officers had arrived at the shop to collect cash and had already secured the money inside the CIT vehicle when they were confronted by the suspects.
