Brawl turns ugly as spade-wielding son kills father

An argument between father and son turned ugly last Thursday in Kopong when the latter allegedly dispossessed the father of a spade and hit him on the forehead, killing him instantly.

Eyewitnesses alleged that the son, Shima Letsholo aged 55-years, acted in self-defence after his father charged at him with the spade.

They alleged that at the onset of the scuffle, the father, Sete Letsholo hit the son with the spade, but the latter wrestled the spade from his father and hit him (the father) on the forehead and stomach, killing him instantly.
