The Botswana Federation of Public, Private and Parastatal Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) has dismissed as untrue claims that its member Ketlhalefile Motshegwa requested for some financial support from the federation towards his political campaign.

In a press statement issued today, the federation’s secretary general,  Tabokani Rari said the union has never received at any point a request for financial assistance from Motshegwa, any other person or any organ for use in political campaigns as claimed by one of the local newspapers.

“We hope that this clarity would suffice to set the records straight on this matter as it has the potential to create some confusion within the federation affiliates,” noted Rari.
