The Botswana National Front (BNF) newly elected central committee (CC) has resolved to hold a party policy conference next year July 2023 to respond to some of the policies that are currently there.

When briefing the media today, BNF secretary–general Ketlhalefile Motshegwa said the policy conference will help the party to have a position paper on policy issues and the forum will be led by Dr. Micus Chimbombi. He said the position paper will help members to understand the party’s views on some issues or governance policies.

“That there will be BNF policy conference in July 2023, to debate and conclude on policies to impact on the socio-economic and political sphere of the country. Again, there will be a special congress in July 2023 for review/amendment of the BNF constitution," said Motshegwa and added that the BNF recommits to continue with building and strengthening of a united and strong Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), and therefore, the BNF welcomed the joining of Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) into the UDC family.

He noted that In the UDC, the BNF will be represented at the UDC national executive committee (NEC) by Duma Boko, Patrick Molutsi, Motshegwa and Moeti Mohwasa for continuity.
