FRANCISTOWN: Three men who used explosives to blast Bible Life Ministries church safe stealing P40,000 and foreign currencies were convicted on Friday. The three men; Daniel Makosana, 50, Ookeditse Mabika, 28, Benson Khumalo, 35 broke and stole money from Bible Life on June 13, 2015.

The other accused, Mompati Moremedi was acquitted and discharged because of lack of evidence. When delivering judgement, Principal Magistrate, Dumisane Basupi said that the three men attacked the night watchman who was guarding the church when the offence was committed.

“On the night of the incident, Khumalo approached the security guard and told him that it was their time to do their work. Makosana detained the night watchman as Mabika and Khumalo blasted the church safe,” said Basupi.
