BHC rolls out campaign to turn tenants into homeowners

The Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) has launched an ambitious nationwide campaign that will give sitting tenants the first opportunity to buy the houses they occupy.

This follows the corporation's move to increase citizen homeownership and unlock capital for future housing developments.

Dubbed the Roots & Roofs Campaign, the initiative combines the sale of occupied and vacant BHC houses with a self-funded residential plot development model aimed at accelerating housing delivery while promoting wealth creation through property ownership.
