BDP structures are limping – Balopi

Secretary-general of the Botswana Democratic Party, Mpho Balopi has told members at Saturday’s National Council that a Political Education and Election Committee (PEEC) audit had shown that their party structures were limping.

Addressing members on the state of the party, he explained it was due to the fact that membership procedures were not complete.

“Over and above that, the term of office of many structures had elapsed because the party took a deliberate resolution to avoid internal elections in 2019,” said Balopi.
