BDP imposes fresh primaries on Francistown-West?

Members of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) in Francistown West are furious that their party's central committee is trying to impose fresh primary elections on them. The diehard supporters of the ruling party even came close to accusing the central committee of being anti-Moswaane. Last year the High Court barred Ignatius Moswaane from registering as a BDP candidate to contest the elections.

FRANCISTOWN: Irate ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) diehards in the explosive Francistown West constituency have slammed the central committee for imposing fresh primaries' on them.

On Sunday the chairperson of the BDP electoral board Parks Tafa was given the platform to explain legal intricacies surrounding fresh primaries and a re-run.
