FRANCISTOWN: The Assistant Registrar of the High Court, Dumisani Basupi, was recently granted reprieve in a case in which the Judicial Services Commission (JSC) wanted him to be fired for allegedly abusing office and lying under oath.

The judgement, Garekwe added, stemmed from a civil action against Basupi by one Dumi Serole who alleged that, whilst being a Magistrate in the past, the Respondent unlawfully detained him.
