Mahalapye police have launched a search to locate and arrest the father of two who allegedly raped the mother of his children over the weekend at Palla Road.

It is alleged the mother, who claims to no longer be in a relationship with the father of her two children, had visited him at Palla Road to collect money for the children on Thursday but upon arrival, he raped her. Narrating the baby mama’s story, Mahalapye Central Police Station commander, Superintendent Moatlhodi Onalenna said, according to the victim, her baby daddy asked her to come and collect the money for the children.

The police chief added the victim had travelled from Mahalapye to Palla Road to do so but on arrival, he refused to give her the promised money. “The victim reported the matter on Saturday when she arrived from Palla Road. She alleges that on arrival, the father of his children locked her inside the house and kept her for two nights against her will and raped her. “We have been looking for the suspect since Saturday and can't locate him so that we can question him about the allegations levelled against him,” Onalenna said.
