After the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) lost its bid to remain under the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), political analysts are already working on the party's graveside eulogy. The commentators opine that this detrimental loss will only impact the party negatively, writes The Monitor’s Tsaone Basimanebotlhe

The BMD last week lost a case, in which it wanted the UDC to be barred from using its symbol. 

Adding salt to injury by not reinstating BMD into the political bloc, the party’s wish to have Botswana Congress Party delegitimised, as a UDC member by the courts did not come true.
