Accident claims first fatality of 2014

FRANCISTOWN: A 30 year-old woman died on Sunday night after the vehicle she was travelling in with two men, overturned near Tati Siding village along the A1 highway.

According to the police, it was the first registered road fatality of the year 2014.

In an interview with Mmegi, the head of traffic police at Kutlwano Police Station, superintendent Pelontle Kesupile confirmed the accident yesterday. “It is true we are investigating a case in which a BMW car had an accident along the A1 road and a female of about 30 years lost her life,” he said and further revealed that two males, the driver aged 28, and another 38 year-old passenger are hospitalised at Nyangabwe Referral Hospital with serious injuries.
