Stompie releases third album

The move by Thabang ‘Stompie’ Oanthata to collaborate with Limpopo-based South African producer, Spenza Man, has branded his new release titled The Rebirth, a music assemblage brimming with high-speed kwaito.

All the tracks have an instrumental element of the well-known South African kwaito artist and disc jockey, DJ Calvin of Ke Rata Cabbage fame. In this 50-minute anthology, Stompie enlightens his audience of his rebirth and his vibe.  Upon pressing the play button, one would think he is not a local artist.  Stompie’s days in Botswana seem numbered as he mentions that his collaboration with Spenza Man has already opened doors for him in South Africa.

“I have recently been signed by a South African company called Shining Moon Music.  The same company has singed artists such as Spenza Man, DJ Calvin of Ke Rata Cabbage fame, Nomsa Diva and DJ Eamo just to name a few,” he said.
