A local make-up artist and model, Atlarelang Ranko Mosweu recently held a modeling workshop titled ‘Oceans of Possibilities’ at Stay Well Hotel in Mogoditshane. During the workshop, models were equipped with knowledge about the modeling industry.

“We discussed the spirit of creativity, types of modeling, how models should dress, walk, posture, diet, physical education, personality development, runaway techniques, skin and hair care. We also discussed steps for one to become a successful model and skills needed like the ability to embrace rejection,” Mosweu told Arts & Culture after the event.

Mosweu added that they also did a practical training where models were taught how to walk for different modeling competitions and beauty pageants. “I did achieve what I wanted from the event. I wanted the models to leave the place motivated, inspired and fired up to go kick the industry and it did happen. At the end of the event, most of them shed tears of happiness. They were emotional and so excited to start this journey with me,” she further indicated. She said after the successful workshop, it doesn’t mean it was a one-time event but rather it was just the beginning of a great move. She said all aspiring models who showed up will be offered free training and classes.
