Stage set for 'Miss Broadhurst' pageant

Ten young women will battle it out in the 'Miss Broadhurst' beauty pageant organised by a newly formed group of young women called City Angeles at Gaborone's Tsholofelo Community Hall on November 28.

Entry fee is P50 all-round.
Group secretary, Neo Khumalo, says the pageant is aimed at raising money for charity. The group will also engage in a litter-picking campaign in Broadhurst the next day. The group was formed recently with an objective to address different social ills and it has three members. They are Onkemetse Kgwakgwe (chairperson), Nonofo Ipotseng (treasurer) and Khumalo.

Khumalo said with resources permitting they intend to make the pageant an annual event. Khumalo said they formed the organisation because they felt there were many young people who needed help.
