MoE warns Limko students

In the wake of disturbances at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, the Ministry of Education has threatened to withdraw sponsorship of students who continue to disrupt classes there and any other tertiary institution.

The full media statement, which was released yesterday, follows:"The Ministry of Education and Skills Development has noted with great concern the current disturbances at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology caused by a section of the student population following the suspension of a group of students who are suspected to have led the recent class boycott.

The Ministry would like to take this opportunity to advise all government-sponsored students to desist

from such behaviour and report for classes with immediate effect.To this end, students who are found to participate in or instigate class boycotts/disruptions and threaten other students or engage in any conduct that may be interpreted as influence on other students not to attend classes will have their sponsorship withdrawn.

This applies to all government sponsored students at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and any other tertiary institution."
