BCP demand protection against floods

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Botswana Congress Party in Tswapong South recently held peaceful demonstration against what they call man-made floods in Sefhare even though there was nobody to receive the petition on behalf of the Minister of Works and Transport, Lesego Motsumi.

However, the demonstration, led by the party's Vice President, Kesitegile Gobotswang went ahead and the petition was read in all the stations from Letloreng through Chadibe, Borotsi and it ended up in Sefhare.

The party has since mobilised a delegation representing all the affected villages to hand the petition directly to the minister.
Gobotswang claimed that they had written a letter to the District Office receive the petition on behalf of the minister but there was no response.
