A Botswana delegation leaves on Friday for the Zone IV softball meeting scheduled for Saturday in Lusaka, Zambia. The delegation comprises International Softball Federation (ISF) vice president Marumo Morule, Botswana Softball Association (BSA) president Tirelo Mukokomane and senior vice president Naledi Dikgomo-Goulden. The meeting initially scheduled for last month was postponed because it clashed with the All Africa Games (AAG).

The meeting was supposed to be part of the Zone VI competitions that aborted in May. It is meant to discuss among other things problems facing Zone VI competitions and the solutions. Morule said there has been a problem with some countries failing to take part in competitions.

He said this has led to cancellation of the competitions because of lack of quorum. He cited the inaugural club championships that failed because no country turned up for the event. He said Botswana would go to the meeting to make it clear that there should be sanctions against countries that do not make enough effort to take part in the Zone VI competitions.
