Jakamotako uses coloured pencil for drawings

In an interview with Arts & Culture, the young artist explained that growing up he used to do various types of art until he decided to specialise on the production of portraits. This came after he realised that his clientele was more into portraits. He also explained that most of his drawings were produced using coloured pencils.
“That is where the name Jakamotako comes in, an expression that means using my divine gift to make a living. My journey in art began in 2006 when I started Form One under the guidance of my former teacher Kagiso Raphoroka. Then 10 years later I decided to become a full time artist and then created a Facebook page called ‘Decade Artworks.’ The idea of becoming a full time artist came after being inspired by pioneers like Wilson Ngoni who I believe his work ethics and work rates speaks much to me,” he said.
The contest had 10 beautiful young girls as finalists and unfortunately only one could wear the crown.The judges picked Anicia Gaothuse.
