GBV cases in Botswana have reached crisis level - BONU

Botswana Nurses Union (BONU) has expressed concern over alarming numbers of defilement, rape, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and teenage pregnancy since the beginning of the coronavirus lockdown in Botswana.

In a statement issued by their gender desk, BONU says mounting evidence from the Botswana Police Services and media reports suggest that GBV is tantamount to yet another  ‘public health crisis'.
