Govt should integrate domestic violence, child abuse, child molestations in their pandemic response measures

As Botswana Federation of Public Private Parastatals Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) we are demanding that government integrate domestic violence, child abuse, child molestations in their pandemic response measures and are taking actions themselves to ensure that workers experiencing domestic violence have support and assistance such as home care centres an counselling therapies.

Fighting Gender Based Violence (GBV) cannot be achieved without involving both genders (women/men, girls/boys) and as such to get the economy to perform and for Botswana to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and Vision 2036, all stakeholders; the community, civil society organisations, trade unions, men and boys amongst many others need to work together and unite to end gender - based violence ensuring that no one is left behind.
