The Beauty of Submission

As a motivational speaker, I frequently get invited to speak at various events. Usually, I am invited to speak on issues of emotional wellness, family matters, spiritual topics, improving communication and conflict resolution in the work place, etc. Last weekend, however, I was invited to speak on a topic I had never thought about at a book launch.

The topic that was given to me was “The Beauty of Submission.” Hmm… Submission being beautiful? It kind of sounded like an oxymoron. As I pondered the theme and began to write my speech, I actually became convinced submission is beautiful. Let’s see if I can explain this to you the way God revealed it to me.

Have you ever bought a car under warranty? A sense of comfort is felt knowing the dealership is going to help you for a certain period of time after buying the car. You feel a sense of peace because you know even if you figure out the car has a problem, they are going to take care of it. As long as it is a manufacturer issue, it is not going to be your problem.
