Kalanga Afro Track Njelele gets international audience

The song, written in Kalanga to Afro house, ancestral rhythms and elements, comes as a celebration of the ancient rainmaking shrine tied to the BaKalanga and other tribes.
“Njelele was inspired by our long history of rainmaking as the Kalanga. We wanted to create a song that celebrates our ancestors and their colourful, rich culture, which was much centred on nature and Mwari/Ngwali as the source of guidance and abundance. The song speaks about our journey back to our culture and roots,” the duo said in an interview.
