Suspected SA money launderer mum on Botswana target

Nicholas Fouche, the 24-year-old who was nabbed on Wednesday attempting to cross the border from South Africa into Botswana with R1.75 million, is keeping his lips shut for now.

Fouche was caught at the Stockpoort border post in SA, about 50 kilometres from Machaneng with the cash hidden in the truck of his rented Suzuki Swift. He appeared in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court this morning facing a charge of money laundering. 

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo told Mmegi the suspect was yet to reveal where he intended to take the money to in Botswana or where he had sourced it from in South Africa.
