Botswana's cricket World Cup hopes fade

Botswana's hopes of progressing to the final round of the T20 World Cup qualifiers hung threadbare on Tuesday, as the local side registered a second loss at the ongoing Africa Division finals in Uganda.

Uganda inflicted the first loss on Monday, a 52-run defeat, after the first match against neighbours Namibia was washed out on Sunday. 

Yesterday Botswana fared better, but still registered an 11-run loss to Nigeria, which severely dented the team's chances of progressing to the final stage of the qualifiers to be held in the United Arab Emirates in October this year.
