'Sleepover' turns into defilement charge

PALAPYE: A 19-year-old boy of Tawana ward in Letlhakane is in hot soup after a ‘sleepover’ with his 15-year-old girlfriend at her house ended in a defilement charge.

The unemployed teenager has been arrested for the alleged defilement. According to the police the girl’s mother caught the suspect sneaking out of her daughter’s room around 5am on Monday. 

The girl, a Form 3 student, shares the room with her younger siblings. The mother was preparing to ready the younger ones for school when she encountered the suspect.
