Thamaga Street Hawker Wins BTCL Mobile Tuck Shop :: Mmegi Online

Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTCL) through its foundation has reached out to street hawkers across the country by uplifting their businesses and rewarding them with a variety of items.

BTC Foundation was on Friday in Thamaga to award a street hawker with a mobile tuck shop as part of the Hawkers Challenge. The competition, which started on October 15 and comes to a terminus on April 15 pit strength amongst 10 street hawkers from around the country.

According to the organisation, anyone who sells ‘Nthope’ by a minimum of 30% on a monthly basis is eligible to to compete. Edward Wicks, Chief Commercial Officer announced that the winner Amogelang Daniel, a resident of Thamaga was rewarded with a trailer and(P5,000 worth of Nthope hamper for having been the highest Nthope seller for the monthly period of December 15, 2018 to January 15, 2019. During the handing out of the prizes, Ms Daniel could not stop thanking her customers who made this a reality.
