Upcoming promoter, Alton Caruso, has come up with a movement named Caruso entertailin agency that is aimed at uplifting the arts by providing a commercially designed experience intended to combine entertainment and retailing.
Caruso says he doesn’t want people to struggle like he did. “Over the years I have faced challenges, so I had to come up with an idea that can help people like me and open doors for them,” he explained the decision to set up the agency.
He said the movement is for young passionate people (artists) who want to make great impact in Botswana’s music industry. Caruso added that the reason why sometimes music promoters are criticised is because they don’t know the business side of this industry.
“We basically believe in work effort, giving platform to people by creating maximum quality results out of all products. We mentor artists as well as promo kings & queens for quality service. We also do CD and merchandise distribution for artists,” he highlighted. Looking back, Caruso was quick to indicate that music has always been in his roots. Caruso also said his movement will fix so many nagging issues between artists and promoters.
