BDP Women want action against 'rebels'

President Mokgweetsi Masisi PIC. THALEFANG CHARLES
Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Women’s Wing chairperson, Dorcas Makgato says measures should be taken against members who commit acts of indiscipline especially on social media platforms.

Makgato said this at a press conference earlier, when stating their resolutions from a December 1 meeting.

She further reiterated the Women’s Wing position that the special congress due next year should be postponed in order to stabilise party affairs and focus on the national general elections.

Makgato endorsed President Mokgweetsi Masisi for an “uninterrupted 10-year tenure as BDP President of the BDP”.

For his part, the Youth Wing chairperson Simon Moabi said

that as the youth they fully support Masisi for next President of Botswana. His comments follow revelations that former local government minister, Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi plans to challenge Masisi for the party’s presidency at the special congress.

Moabi also indicated that Cava tagline was adopted from the youth and is perpetuated by fashion as they consider themselves as having fresh minds.

Moabi also unveiled the next youth tagline “Eita Monana Eita”.
