Diamond Pageantry Academy recently hosted a Runaway Pageant night at The Parkade in Game City where beautiful young women graduated after a three-month programme.
Diamond Pageantry Academy, which is an academy for grooming beauty queens brought together the queens and models on one platform.
The event showcased poise and fierceness at the same time.
The event serves as a coronation graduation ceremony for all the graduates who have completed the three-month training programme.
The graduates were then awarded their certificates accordingly.
It was also a chance for the young women to grace the stage for the first time. “This year our top student, Nicola Mmeke was awarded our most prestigious award at the event being Diamond of the year 2018 and we had a total of nine local designers and stores showcase,” the event founder and former Miss Botswana, Nicole Gaelebale told Arts & Culture in an interview after the event.

“We had a total of 28 young ladies graduate. It’s our second graduation ceremony. Last year we didn’t have a fashion show, just certificate handing ceremony.
The fashion show was our first annual event,” she highlighted. Gaelebale founded Diamond Pageantry Academy last year as a platform to inspire young women to always believe in their dreams and pursue them.
Gaelebale further said the academy offers eight modules being, pageantry walk master class, modelling, presentation skills, image and personal branding, fitness and health, pageantry etiquette, talent development and basic life principles.
The school has been offering services to individuals who wish to venture into different paths in the beauty world. The academy develops beauty queens from as early as seven years of age. The graduates will now be able to participate in fashion shows as well as pageantries.
