Vivo Energy donates books to Jwaneng-Mabutsane schools

Vivo Energy Botswana donated Secondary School Mathematics books worth P46, 000 to Jwaneng-Mabutsane Schools last week as part of their commitment to supporting the communities where they operate. Education has been one of the ways in which Vivo Energy Botswana offers support to the communities where they operate.

Vivo Energy Botswana has through the Shell brand established a Children’s traffic school in Gaborone in partnership with Department of Roads, Transport and Safety to instil road safety education from the grass roots.  Vivo Energy Botswana also aids in the education of our children by providing renewable energy lamps in areas that are off the national electricity grid line. The solar lights have proven to be resourceful for studying. The company has donated more than 2,000 solar lights in Kalkfotein, Khwai, Nshakashogwe, Ramotswa and Dikhukhung

When giving welcome remarks on behalf of the Managing Director, the acting corporate communications manager, Khumoyame Thuso said: “Education plays an important role to everyone throughout our journey of life. As Vivo Energy Botswana, we will continually contribute to growing the academic excellence within the country as proper education by all brings equality among human beings and removes the feeling of difference”.
