A local ancestral house music and drums group known as Ancestral Rituals will once again put the Botswana entertainment industry on the international platform as it will be performing at Ibiza Lounge in Angola this weekend.
The group’s manager, Michael Sebaka, said that Ibiza Lounge through Roberto Santos invited them.
He said that their service was selling and had gained popularity both nationally and internationally. The group plays ancestral house music and Afro house.
“The group comprises of a DJ, drummer and percussionist. The group members include Willard Michael (percussionist), Matlhomola Motsage (DJ), Aobekwe Molefe (photographer and media) and Kenanao Bonase Baruti (road manager). This is a sub-genre of House music, with its roots predominantly in South Africa.

Our group has given it a touch of Setswana music,” he said.
He said their immense talent has attracted a large fanbase, more especially out of Botswana where they got bookings from countries as far as Namibia, South Africa and others.
He explained that people of different nationalities and cultures appreciate the music for its rich and unique African rhythm.
