Man beats lover to a pulp, hangs himself

PALAPYE: A 35-year-old Malaka woman was allegedly beaten unconsciously by her 31-year-old lover of the same village before the man escaped and hanged himself.

It remains a mystery as to what could have transpired between the two lovers that led to the alleged brutal beating.

According to police reports, on the dusk of Monday the neighbours responded to the woman’s loud scream for help from her family home.
