Jealous boyfriend kills lover, hangs himself

PALAPYE: A middle-aged man of Extension One here allegedly killed his cohabiting partner and claimed his life after the girl allegedly wanted to attend the Sunday jazz without his consent.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer- in-charge at Palapye police station assistant superintendent Kebonye Kodumane confirmed the killing and suicide.

He said the couple was engaged in an argument on Sunday evening when the girl allegedly wanted to leave for the bars without the boyfriend’s approval.
