Botswana to bid for AFCON Under-17

Botswana will bid to host the 2020 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, as part of gauging the strides made under an ambitious youth development program.

Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Mfolo Mfolo said they will bid for the junior tournament, which dovetails with the association's ambitions.

Since he took office in 2016, BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti has focused on youth development, arguing it is key to turning around the fortunes of the national team.
