Pedestrian woman fatally hit by combi

Central police station commander, superintendent Mothusi Phadi confirmed the tragic incident to Mmegi, saying it occurred between 5:30am and 6:30am.

“I just received the sad news, the woman is no more. Looking at the damage on the combi and the injuries that the deceased sustained it appears that the combi driver was overspreading.  We expect drivers to be cautious when approaching the pedestrian crossing, but shockingly this accident occurred when the deceased was trying to cross the road at the pedestrian crossing,” Phadi said.
