Ban T caters for his young fans

Ban T
Trending rapper Ban T has planned out a gig for his young fans slated for Friday when private schools close this Friday.

The event dubbed ‘Listen To The kids’ will be hosted at Mantlwaneng. It will feature Ban T, Ammo Ski Mask, Urban Empire and Mjamaica will be the host.

“I have realised that I have a huge following from young people that are still in high school and primary school who do not have access and permission to attend late night events that I am always performing at. So I decided to host an event that is specially dedicated for them,” the 20-year-old Ban T said in an interview.

With the event dedicated to the young fans, Ban T stated that it will be an afternoon gig that will start around 2pm and finish at 4pm.

“The youngsters always see us on social media, TV and other media channels but they never get to interact with us. This will be an opportunity for them, we have prepared a good performance for them,” he said.

Apart from the dance and musical performances, Ban T stated that as artists they will interact with the students giving them life and academic advice but at the end of the day the aim is to have fun.

T said this will be a seasonal event that will be taking place every time when schools are closed, “I want to make it a brand for the kids and inspire them. They will learn a lot and I will also learn a lot from them”.

Both rappers Ban T and Ammo Ski Mask are expected to dish out their respective songs which have been favourites among many young people, with Urban Empire displaying their dance moves and Mjamaica cracking jokes that instantly made him a favourite with many.

He said the young audience will be regulated on their safety and well being during the event.

Recently Ban T has been a good influence to young kids and was recently made the brand ambassador for Gaborone United Football Club in a bid to lure young people to the club.  Meanwhile Ban T, who recently released his debut studio album, The Bantastic EP, stated that he has found a full time career in the music industry.

“This is my full-time job and I am always booked every weekend. It started last year in December where I had bookings every weekend.”
