SELEBI-PHIKWE: Bobirwa Festive Punch event coordinator Kabo Kgathi has said this year’s event will be bigger and better despite lack of sponsorship.

Speaking to Showtime, Kgathi said unlike in the past, this year revellers will have a night to remember with high quality sound systems, performances, logistics and overall organisation of the event. He said just like other events that have prioritised security this year, they have also deployed a reputable security agency that has been in the industry for some time. He said they are also going to work with local authorities, the police especially to enforce and ensure the safety of revellers and their valuable assets at the event.

He said the event is conveniently centrally located and within reach for all the youth in Bobirwa who are primary beneficiaries. He however emphasised that though the event is dubbed Bobirwa, it is open to everyone across the country. “This event aims at unifying the whole region through music and dance during the festive season. Everyone who is willing to join forces to make it better is always welcome on board through any form of partnerships,” he explained.
