Recently crowned Miss Botswana, Nicole Gaelebale left the country a few days ago for China where the Miss World will be held on November 18.
She is with contestants from other countries around the world that she will be competing against for the crown. Prior to her departure, she exclusively told Showbiz about her preparatons for the Miss World. She said she was ready to compete and bring the crown home.
“I took this year’s pageant as practice for the Miss World, which is my prize and took it seriously,” said Gaelebale.
Due to her experience in the pageantry, she will be expected to represent the country well and bring positive results.
“I arrived safely in China. Everything is well. The competition has really started and I’m so excited. I would like to thank the Botswana Embassy for a warm welcome here.
I am enjoying every moment and giving it my all, (sic)” wrote Gaelebale on her Facebook page.

Within the pageant, there are competitions such as top model, talent, multi media, sport, beauty with a purpose, and the brand new “head to head challenges” that will pits the models against each other.
With only a few days in China, Gaelebale seems to have settled in well with the other contestants. She recently posted a picture of herself and Miss Ethiopia saying that they are roommates and how close they are.
“Dinner time with Miss World Ethiopia who happens to be my roommate, as well as such a loving person.”
If Gaelebale wins the Miss World, she will be taking the crown from Puerto Rican Stephanie Del Valle who was crowned the queen last year during the Miss World 2016 in Washington, D.C., United States.
