Retired Judge George Maluleke chairperson of Bakgatla chieftainship judicial commission in South Africa is late. Following an illness that led to back-to-back postponements of an inquiry that started in 2015 expected to conclude in June 2017.

Maluleke was seen to be hostile to Nyalala Pilane and accused of being soft to Kgafela whom he referred to as “His Majesty” throughout the commission process.  At some stage he notified Nyalala of imminent issue of warrant of arrest as Nyalala continued to fail to comply with commission demands particularly on producing of financial statements of the Bakgatla kingdom believed to be worth around R36billion.
