Girls sweep awards as Mophane primary excels

Girls swept all the awards for best performing students in all grades at a prize giving ceremony held at Mophane Primary School in Gaborone last Friday.

The awards ceremony, came a day after the release of the 2010 Primary School Leaving Examination where the school had come out on top in performance among the Gaborone Public Schools with a 95 percent pass.

Speaking at the event, the Director of Pre and Primary Education Department, Serero Ramahobo, applauded the students for outdoing their peers in the city and the parents for giving support and assistance to their children.
