Suspended Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) officer, Holiday Matibini has said he is prepared to spill the beans when his case for fraud goes before the disciplinary committee. He was suspended last September over forged signatures involving P500,000 for the welcome ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics team.

Some irregularities with respect to some purchase orders were discovered. The purchase orders are alleged to have had signatures of some executive committee members and upon being questioned the members denied knowledge of the orders.

Matibini told Mmegi Sport this week that his suspension was nothing but a trap. He said some people wanted to mop the floor with his head because he did not want to be part of corrupt practices.  He accused the committee of being rotten.
