Bobonong Junior Secondary School (JSS) continued with their sterling performance in cross country races as they dominated Sports View half marathon held in Gaborone on Saturday.

Not to be outdone, Matshekge Senior Secondary School from the same village also showed character in the junior women and men categories. Speaking to Monitor Sport after the marathon, Bobonong JSS coach, Phethi Mabelebele said they prepared for the cross country race together with the Botswana Integrated Sports Association.

“The preparations for this marathon included conducting training along Motloutse river. Running on the sand is meant to improve their stamina. After that session, I take them to a flat surface. You can see that they are fit athletes,” he said.
