Township Rollers claimed the city bragging rights with a 2-0 over rivals Gaborone United (GU) in a BTC Premiership encounter played at the National Stadium on Saturday. This was the first Popa derby win in two years.

Rollers made a surprise inclusion of full back, Edwin Olerile who made a switch from GU during the week, while Rodolfo Zapata tested his new acquisitions in the second half. It took 14 minutes for a real chance at goal after the first 10 minutes could not produce a spark. Tumisang Orebonye tried from outside the box with a hard hit low drive, but Mwampule Masule was up to the task.

Rollers broke the deadlock in the 21st minute through Mosha Gaolaolwe. The defender headed home Edwin Molasi’s free kick to give Popa the lead. Six minutes later Lemponye Tshireletso played a one two pass with Terrence Mandaza, but the former’s shot was well collected by Goitseone Phoko. Rollers enjoyed the lion’s share of ball possession as they went into break with the one goal lead.

Each of the 10 beautiful young women had supporters...
