The government has admitted a controversial American anti-gays and women rights pastor, Steven Anderson who is also infamous for having pulpit meltdowns.

Anderson, the leader of the Faithful Word Baptist Church, will be making his way to the country to launch his ministry together with protégé evangelist Garret Kirchway on September 25. He once caused a stir in his home country where he had a pulpit stomping meltdown and uttered that gays must be killed. He has been in the past accused of supporting mass shootings of people, speaking strongly against the use of prescription medication and also attacking women. Now the Lesbian, Gays and Bisexuals of Botswana (LEGABIBO) has moved swiftly to block the pastor’s arrival into the country with fear that he is bringing tainted messages.

LEGABIBO has started the online petition to be signed as agreement that Anderson and his protégé Kirchway should not be allowed to come into the country to spread hatred, homophobia, violence and sexism.

Each of the 10 beautiful young women had supporters...
