Lensman Launches Online Wedding Magazine

FRANCISTOWN: A creation of a young photographer and entrepreneur, Lenyalo Magazine, has hit the cyber space. Ambitious Lincoln Kufigwa (26) said he found a niche in the market, using technology to link everyone in the wedding planning industry.

The magazine was launched recently at Adansonia Hotel and can also be accessed online with the first hard copy expected out before end of the month.

Kufigwa told Monitor Business, that he took advantage of the modern technology to market their business and bring services closer to people.

He said that the online magazine would also give companies the opportunity to market their products and services online.

“Lenyalo Magazine will link everyone in the wedding planning industry so that couples can realise their dream of having a perfect wedding. The magazine would cover every step of the wedding,” he said.

The youthful entrepreneur said that the initiative behind taking the magazine online is a long-term strategy to boost their business because it will attract multitudes of individuals from different platforms of social media.

Kufigwa who did not finish his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration of the University of Botswana, said he followed

his passion of wedding planning and photography that is why he then decided to open his own business called Troy Icon media followed by Lenyalo Magazine.

He revealed that he has not gone through any formal training related to magazine writing and photography.

“I was prompted by love and zeal of magazines and photography to venture into this business,” he said.

Kufigwa said that the magazine will be published on a quarterly basis and targets everyone who plans to tie the knot.

Kufigwa’s team of 10 is a determined and hardworking youth with experience in graphic designing, photography, marketing, writing to mention a few.

However, like any other business, he also has some challenges one of them being competition.

He said that to beat this competitive environment, he provides his customers with quality products and services adding that the magazine would be sold countrywide which his competitors do not provide.
